Jeide Designs - I have been a graphic designer for over 6 years now
with formal education in this field. Within the past two years, I have
started my own business, because of the demand for professional
graphic design. I have many customers that either didn't have a
website or catalog and their business was struggling. I since have
worked with them to provide a graphical representation of their
business. Some just desire a website while other desire a website and
printed material. Many customers start by making their own sites or
printed information and eventually they realize that their customers
are frankly not even noticing them. Rankings and visitors are low in
both website and retail stores. Phone orders are inconsistant.
After re-creating their business visual presence, I statistically can
prove that their traffic to their site has dramatically increased, and
most importantly...the customers that visit are actually viewing the
site long enough to get a good feel of what the company is all about.
If you don't keep them there, the products or services can't and wont
be sold! Professional quality printed material is also very important.
if you hand out a flyer that isn't professionally designed and
printed, most often than not it will shortly end up in the trash bin.
The idea is to give them something that is appealing enough so they
read and understand your product or service. Keep the idea of your
business in mind for when the time is right to make the purchase.
Idealy it is nice enough that they just can't bear to throw it away.
Conclusion: To answer your question. In my opinion (aided by visual
stats) I can tell you that professional graphic design is very
important in increasing revenue for your business. Without it, your
business is just bobb'n-along!
