I recently purchased an oil painting with a signature of Sarde in the
bottom right corner as you are looking at the painting. It seems to be
of Italy or a place in Europe at least. It is of a city with dancers
on the street. It looks to be painted in the 60's, maybe. About a 20''
x 24''. I bought it at an estate sale in Louisville, Ky from an old,
old house with many collectibles from around the world. I was trying
to find out who the artist was because I liked the painting so much. I
have looked online to no avail. Please, if someone has a better way of
finding out who the artist is and letting me know I would be greatly
obliged. Thank you.

I have two Sarde Paintings- one of a nautical scene and one of a
church in the forefront of some mountains. The first I bought off of
Ebay and the second I pulled out of the garbage. I too have been
looking for information on the artist and have had no luck.

A seller off Ebay had another Sarde oil painting for sell in October.
I located it while I was searching for the artist for the painting I
have now. The painting was not sold but the         was over and the
seller no longer has the painting for sale on his web site. I was
trying to email the seller but was not able to. I will try again.

I emailed the seller and asked if he had any idea who the artist was
or if he had any other of his/her paintings available.

I have a very old oil painting that Iam trying to research, What and
where does one go to find who the artist was when they only sign there
Initials, in this case its W.B.L. the painting are a pair of old
wooden sailboats, on the sail of one boat it says daly or degy, can
anyone give me info. Thank You.
