the window. Can I have that be the default. I couldn't figure out
how to do that. Thanks.

It may depend on the OS (operating system) you're using.
If you have XP or Windows 2000, what usually works is to
open a database and maximize the window using the middle
button of the three in the top right corner of the window.
Then close the Access (this works for other programs, too)
and the next time you open the database, it should remember
the setting, and open maximized.

Try it, and let me know...

Thanks. I am still surprised that Microsoft did not provide this as
default setting (personable preferences). I am running Access 2003 on
Windows XP. I will try autosizer or maybe having a macro (I'd like it
to run on startup). I am using Access a lot and would just like to see
all my queries etc at once (by maxing the window).

So did my suggestion work or not? It's not clear to me
from what you posted.

if that doesn't work, try this program called "autosizer"
it is a gr8 program that maximize the windows that you want

You could also create a macro in the database called "AutoExec" if it
doesn't already exists. Set the first line of the macro as follows:

Action="RunCommand", Command="AppMaximize".
