I am confused about E1 and E2 & SN1 and SN2 reactions. For instance, how do I know that a reaction will be a E1 as oppose to SN1? Do certain reactions occur because they are reacting with a base/acid? Those are just an example of the types of questions. I need a simplified version of the information that I've found in my textbook and on line. PLEASE HELP - EXAM TONIGHT |

Here are two sites for pdf summary files comparing E1, E2, SN1, and SN2 reactions. Both are short and you can ignore the second part of each. http://chemweb.stanford.edu/winter2005/chem33-1,2/Practice/finalreview3.pdf http://chemweb.calpoly.edu/chem/kantorowski/Handouts/Chem316/SN2SN1E2E1Chart.pdf Ignore them if they don't really help you. Good luck in your exam. |

When you click on them, a pdf file should download - sometimes there is no visible indication of this; check your default download location, probably your desktop or documents folder. |
