I am looking to take all my old picttures and digitize them. I want to use a scanner to upload them unto a computer and give it out CD's to all family members. I plan on scanning 3000 pictures so I need a scanner that can handle this amount and do it QUICKLY. The pictures will be of all different sizes. Please provide links to products, with a focus on SPEED and EASE OF USE that can do this. |

It might just be worth enquiring about getting the work done for you by a specialist agency. |

I think i concur with the above comment. A high-speed scanning device would likely not be worth if for a one time job. You are better off having this done by a specialist, perhaps even staples or kinkos. Im fairly sure they take scanning work. |

If you have the *negatives* to the photographs, negative/transparency scanners will usually have a batch input mode scanning per strip rather than per image. This will help reduce the labour cost, but ultimately it's still a manual process. Owain |
