Hi,

I'm interested to know about services that are available out there to
outsource and automate eBay seller chores.

I can list some, but I would appreciate you discussing the matter with
me to cover what maybe missing:

1. Customer Service (might include bidder profiling, I may want to
ship before payment is received for proven record buyers or ship to
non-confirmed addresses as one example)
2. Billing
3. Fulfillment (order tracking, shipping, handling, insurance
[www.u-pic.com]... logistics in general)
4. Accounting (integration and applicability are key)
5. Market Intelligence (companies that provide tabs on where trends are going)
6. eBay Auction Management (The top three options out there)
7. Fraud management (can be how to handle non-paying bidders or other
forms of fraud and services which can assist with that headache)
8. International buyer issues and possible solutions (charging
international cards, exceptional shipping requirements and forms,
alternative methods of payment and shipping companies that have
advantages in specific regions over the usual DHL/UPS/FedEx where
express shipping is not required, but insured and trackable is)

Priorities are as follows:

1. Simplicity of the above, the simpler it is for my
customers/suppliers/myself, the better. Though, I would welcome a
second option if it has an advantage that makes the complexity worth
it.

2. If you can benefit from other answered questions, please reference
them and the portion you're focusing on as that increases the value of
this question substantially.

Optional points (No harm if you don't cover these, no guaranteed
payment for them to be covered, but if done well, a bonus shall be
due):

a. Reference sellers on eBay using the above mentioned tools/services
b. Reference reviews of the tools/services that are recommended
c. Top Ten list of items that are noticeably popular on eBay
d. Top Three items or areas that are likely to be big in the future
e. Seller best practices and core areas of concern

Thank it.. good luck. :-)

Hi 6ra3-ga!

I think a better way to do this would be contacting software companies
that specialize in custom Ebay seller software systems. You may want
to talk to them and ask the requirements you made above.

I am not saying there maybe a solution out there already but with the
the detailed requirements you have, it is easy to miss some of them.

Would a list of Ebay seller software solutions provider and their
contact numbers be ok as an answer?

Thanks!

Hi easterangel! :-)

What I need is a combination of suggested systems and service
providers to achieve most of what I've listed, I don't expect the
above to be satisfied by one company or tool or service provider.

I don't want to end up re-inventing the wheel where other sellers are
using better systems and outsourcing to better companies things that I
end up doing myself in a lousy way.

What I'm saying is put yourself in my shoes and try and achieve the
goal, although I don't know if it's all out there as described, but it
doesn't sound far fetched to me to create a nice combination and work
out the wrinkles eventually at a more mature level a year or two down
the road.

Are we on the same wave length now? :-)

Hi again!

Does this mean that you want a company that has off-the-shelf Ebay
software that has some of your requirements and can also do customized
software?

Is this an example of what you need?

Thanks again!

If Yes, how many companies would suffice?

Clarification of Question by 6ra3-ga on 08 Nov 2005 15:13 PST
Hi,

I asked for the top three, I'd live with the top two if you provide me
with a table of the features that are included without customization
of both packages.

high-availability picture hosting, advanced bulk listing capabilities,
customer service and support, and online checkout with payment
processing."

Hi,

If I look at it, would I need to study it and give you feedback?

Lets agree on the goal. Suggest twp solutions and list their features
and compare them and find reviews on them if you can.

Please clarify so I understand the reason behind showing me these
without your analysis of the content?

Hi 6ra3-ga!

I think I am finally beginning to understand your requirements.

I was able to find a website that has a directory of Ebay Seller
software companies specializing on different aspects of your
requirements. Example I found different companies that do "customer
service", billing, fullfillment, etc. But usually they only do one of
these features.

Would a listing of these services be ok as an answer? Some of the
products have reviews on them.

Thanks!

By the way here is the breakdown of software types in the directory:

1. Management Solutions - 56 Software Products and Providers
2. Ecommerce Solutions - 7
3. Market Analysis Software - 11
4. Marketing - 17
5. Extra Selling Tools (Usually Accounting Related) - 20

Will this directory be ok?

This is correct! If you'll pick the ones that satisfy the criteria I
mentioned and in the manner I asked for, then that question would be
answered completely.

Hi! Sorry this is taking quite a while to accomplish.

One more thing. In your very first requirement....

"1. Customer Service (might include bidder profiling, I may want to
ship before payment is received for proven record buyers or ship to
non-confirmed addresses as one example)"

I cannot find a software that does this. Ebay Customer Service
software usually concerns mostly of newsletters, auction notifiers or
order confirmations.

Even with the absence of this type of will the answer still be ok?

Thank you for your patience.

Note:

I wasn't able to find any good reviews for the additional software I
found. I just took note of them since they were referenced most of
the time in different directories and websites.

Thanks!
