Dear Lollol,

The run off of the elections in Liberia is today, so there aren't any
results yet (on the first round, on October 11th, there was no
majority of the votes for any of the candidates. Football star George
Weah won the round). In the run off, Weah runs against the candidate
in second place, former World Bank employee and finance minister,
Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf. However, you can find lots of actual
information about the political situation in Liberia by searching
Google News:

It's all in the Wikipedia article I've already given you:

Weah - 28.3% (first round).

The initial results are already there. Again, all you have to do is
check the Google News link and the Wikipedia article:

"With 90% of the vote counted in the run-off, Johnson-Sirleaf holds an
unassailable 59%-41% lead. Weah has filed a formal fraud complaint."
(SOURCE: Wikipedia, Liberian Elections, 2005,
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberia_elections,_2005>).

See also:
"When will the results be declared?

The National Elections Commission has two weeks to officially announce
the results. It may take a while yet for all the results to be brought
in from the most remote jungle areas of Liberia, whose infrastructure
was destroyed in the war.

In the meantime, diplomats will be speaking to Mr Weah and Mrs
Johnson-Sirleaf to try to calm tensions."
