I use MS Word 2003. I need to see if there is any way I can install
an add-inn or download a program that someone has created that allows
me to create dynamic index tabs (think binder tabs) in MS Word. The
closest example is think how Excel allows you to have multiple
tabs or workbooks in a file. I need to essentiallty create the same
feature for Microsoft Word, where one file contains several Word
documents that can be accessed easily from the main page, like index
tabs or something similar. If someone has already created some
program that allows me to create dynamic index tabs in Word 2003, I
would purchase it.

Hi i_prefer_pi,

Sheet Tabs in Word is a common request and hopefully will exist in a
new version in the not too distant future. As far as I know, using the
Outline View feature is the closest you can come now.

Does this help?

Dear hummer,

It really doesn't help. Do you know if anyone has created a program
or add-in that I can purchase and install in Word that would allow me
to have sheet tabs in Word?

Dear i_prefer_pi,

No, I'm sorry, I did look for other alternatives but I was
unsuccessful. The question comes up frequently in forums and noone
seems to have found an answer yet. Perhaps another researcher will
have better luck.

Have you tried using keyboard shortcuts?

CTRL+PgDn: move to next sheet
CTRL+PgUp: move to previous sheet

Regards,
hummer

You can insert different files in to the same document and access them
