I pay for my employees home broadband service on the same ISP on a company deal. Can I find out what sites my employees are going to via my ISP? this is in the UK |

No You cannot do that. To do this you will need, first, to install in your server a proxy server the best is called "Squid" http://www.squid-cache.org/ Squid you can have access to all sites browsed by your users, and can block it. Or can give access to this sites in a specific time. How SQUID Works USER 1 -----> USER 2 -----> SQUID ------> WEBSITE USER 3 -----> After install SQUID your users will not access website directly. Squid will make the download. then you can log, or block. if you have any question, send it. |

The ISP will probably have logs, but will not divulge these without a court order. Any attempt by you to monitor your employees' internet use may be subject to Data Protection Act and Regulation of Interceptory Powers Act, as well as human rights legislation. Owain |
