Question ID: 59069
Can you list me some good websites that will allow me to download TV
schedules for movie channels. DIRECTV, for example, has a very slow
unwieldly site and it will only give me listings going ahead one week.
I want to get all the movie channels listings for a month so I can do
some proper planning. Additionaly, are there any sites in which I
could input the movie name and it would come back with movie times and
channels looking forward a few weeks or so?

Thanks!

Greetings! I found the following online movie listings at their
respective sites. I jumped ahead a month on their calendars (where
link was provided) and found the download time quick, even though my
Internet connection is through an antique phone modem. lol All the
link listings below originated from a site titled "Network TV
Listings" and their are a plethora of links there provided to TV
channels, premium movies listings and more. I believe you will find
the site to be highly informative.

From "Network TV Listings" a web site of links seemingly compiled by
Mark Hotlz:

PREMIUM MOVIE CHANNELS

Cinemax shows their monthly schedule here, and you can jump ahead to
the following month (there is a tiny > beside the August heading in
the left column - click on that for the next month listing):
http://www.cinemax.com/NASApp/schedule/ScheduleServlet?ACTION_TODAY=TODAY

Showtime offers their monthly schedule here with a "next month" under
the present claendar link for the following month:
http://www.showtimeonline.com/schedules/

The Movie Channel had a monthly guide, but it did not jump to the next
month:
http://www.showtimeonline.com/TMC/

HBO offers a "next month" guide as well:
http://www.hbo.com/NASApp/schedule/ScheduleServlet?ACTION_TODAY=TODAY

Sundance Channel offers the same (look for > and < near calendar)
http://www.sundancechannel.com/

He had an IMF channel listing but the link to the monthly and weekly
was a "Page Not Found". I went to the IMF web site but couldn't
locate where there was a monthly listing, however it might be there
and just down for service or something.

Under his Basic cable movie channel listings, the one for AMC returned
a Page Not Found, but I went to the AMC site of his main listing and
found this as their schedule listings page:
http://www.amctv.com/guide/0,,---D--N-EST,00.html

Fox Movie Channel offered a PDF download of various schedule listings
at http://www.thefoxmoviechannel.com/scheddaily.asp

There seemed to be no monthly schedule for Lifetime:
http://www.lifetimetv.com/shows/tvschedule/today_out.html

Turner Movie Classics schedule was for the current month only:
http://www.turnerclassicmovies.com/NowPlaying/Index/0,3372,,00.html

The Women's Entertainment (WE) offered current and the following
month:
http://we.tv/site/schedule/

I did not location a search function of the type you described: "input
the movie name and it would come back with movie times and channels
looking forward a few weeks or so". Holtz's list is very
comprehensive, and I will be bookmarking the page myself. : ) Thanks
for asking this question because the answer was of great interest to
me, too!

PS At some of the above sites, you can search the database for
particular movies, so this would enable a version of the search you
described. I did a sample search of "Joe Dirt" at the Cinemax listing
and it returned all the listing times for the movie.
