I need the address and contact details ( name and phone number ) in
India for the test center for Indian nurses to take the qualifying
tests for the U S CGFNS certificate. Is there a quota for the number
of nurses that can appear for this exam in India in any given year? If
so, what is it and if it has been filled for this year. Also, what
would be the best strategy to prepare for this exam.  Information on
resources ( books and study help materials) to prepare for this exam
would be very helpful. Please include all search terms used. Thanks

The CGFNS seem to require everyone to apply to an address in the US. 
Would that address plus the names of cities in India where the exams
are held be enough if we can answer the other parts of your query?

You are correct in saying that all applications for the test must be
sent to the US address.  However, what I need is the addresses of the
test centers in India and their phone numbers.

these exams there on behalf of CGFNS US ?

Hi ratan-ga,

I was unable to find the actual addresses or phone numbers of the
testing sites, however I did find an email address that potential
nurses should contact if they are interested in gaining this
certification and coming to the US.

Currently there is a testing facility in Bangalore and there is a
proposition for another such facility in Kerala (where incidentally,
most of the CGFNS nurses in India come from). If you would like me to
expand further on this and provide the email address as an answer
please let me know :)

Hi ratan

One problem we may be having here is that the exams only take up a few
days each year.  This may mean that the test centers are buildings
used for other purposes in between where people would not welcome
phone calls on CGFNS matters.  I believe you are a good customer of
Google Answers and do not want to disappoint you.  Remember you are
entitled to cancel this question and post a different version if that
would be any help.

Have had no luck with this, regrettably.  I guess only the CGFNS
themselves will know.

There are two centers
-850 (Bangalore, Karnataka)
-851 (Cochin, Kerala)

The Cochin center is a new one and is in the process of being set up.
No luck on getting the addresses or phone number yet...but will keep
trying....I'm residing in India
