Does anyone know the title of this movie? Years ago I saw a Canadian
movie on television (I don't know of it was originally made for TV)
about a young woman doing research on life in the nineteenth century
(?)-- she isolates herself in an old house and wears 19th-century
clothing, etc., to experience that kind of life. Then she finds
herself actually in the 19th century, living with the original
inhabitants of the house. They think she's crazy. She has a little
awkward bit of a romance with the young man in the house (neither of
them is a hottie or anything, it's in keeping with the eerieness of
the movie). She finally freaks out at a house party and stabs someone.
The young woman had long blond hair, if that helps. There's a scene in
the beginning, while she's still in the present day, where she's
goofing around with her boyfriend outside the house, yells "Arise!" or
something like that, throws a snowball at the house and hits a window.
There's at least one scene where she's discussing her project with her
present-day boyfriend. |
