Hi,
When I view icons in explorer I no longer see a small image of the
icon just a image of a magnifying glass, how do I get my icons to look
like they do in reality?

You might have installed some themes unknowingly.
Uninstall it and every thing will be allright.
right click on desktop-> select properties.
From there yo u should be able to change it.
It may also be some programs causing it.

Look on the bottom right of ur screen for new
or unusual icons. Un install the unwanted programs
from control panel.

Hi
I added Nero 7, however I went into associate file type with (via
properties) Windows and changed the associate to windows bitmap so
even un-installing Nero would no longer correct the problem, any idea
what I should associate *.ico with?

Paul.
