I swear I heard a song on the radio the other night that was a cover
of Melissa Etheridge's song "Like The Way I Do".  I've contacted the
DJ that I believed played it and she says she's never heard of a cover
version of that song.  Can you tell me if any other artist has
performed that song and who did it.

The only cover version that I'm aware of is by a singer called Melody.
It's on her album "Today is Someday."

You can listen to clips of several songs from "Today is Someday"
online. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a clip of Melody's
cover of "Like The Way I Do," but it's definitely the Etheridge song.
Does this sound like the voice of the person you heard on the radio?

I guess that's a possibility, however Melody is relatively unknown. 
This was a major station in the NY/NJ area.  I'm trying to find a
snippet of Melody's version to confirm.  Great head start though.
