To get anything like an accurate answer to this question, you'd have to define "wars" (when does a conflict become a war etc), history (recorded history, or including non-recorded); and you might even have to define "hunan" (assuming you go along with evolutioniary principles). In the absence of those definitions, the only answer you'll probably come up with is "an awful lot". |

This will probably only add to your frustration, but... I was filling in time in an Australian public library and found an A4 size book, green cover, which listed every(?) war since about 3,000BC. It detailed when, where and who... but I cannot remember its name. As a 70-year-old I'm reminded of the saying " of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most" I once Googled "wars involing the US" From memory, it was over 70. It counted the wars between the eastern states and the various Indian(sorry native americans) as well as several battles with the british, as individual wars. A few of them puzzled me... what were the Yanks doing beating up some North African tribe in the 1800's. |

Pademelon, In N. Africa, I think they were fighting a war against pirates - well, against those who felt it was an acceptable pursuit. The US Marine Corps Hymn has a line: "From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli". |
