I have 1 administrator account and 1 simple account on XP. I forgot the admin password. now I can only enter with the simple account which cannot do much ! I need a way to regain admin rights. | |

Actually, this is pretty easy to fix. You can use this bootdisk to reset any of the passwords on the system, including the administrator password: http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ |

Every time you install your XP it will prompt for a pawword. Do you remember the password you gave while instaling XP? |

the boot disk worked just fine .. I just needed to choose the default for all the questions. great job! |

Very often the Administrator password in XP Home is blank by default! |
