Re: Warehouse Supervisor position

Dear Mr. XXXX,

I wish to apply for the position of Warehouse Supervisor, which I saw
posted on CareerTimes. I am keenly interested in joining IDS Logistics
(Hong Kong) Ltd., which has over 25 years of logistics management
experience.

I have ample working experience in the logistics industry. In 1999, I
was a full-time Accounting Clerk, which gave me business acumen. Being a
full-time Export Sales and Shipping Coordinator, I needed to contact UK-
and India-based clients, and occasionally to work in mainland China.

Currently, I am working at Expeditors Hong Kong Limited as an operation
assistant in the Distribution Centre, where I have learned how to raise
profits by providing innovative logistics services at minimal cost. I
have also learned leadership skills in order to deploy the warehouse
manpower for maximum productivity.

As for my education, I earned the degree of Bachelor of Science in
International Shipping and Transport Logistics with Second Class Honours
(Division 1) at Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2003.

I improved my ability to analyze problems from different angles through my
studies at the Australian Maritime College in Australia. I was awarded the
SPEED Scholarship by Hong Kong Polytechnic University for this exchange
programme. My student exchange experience gave me the opportunity to meet
people of different nationalities and to learn how to deal with people
from different cultures. Furthermore, I developed strong communication
and interpersonal skills.

I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Global Supply Chain
Management. I believe my continued education at the graduate level is
appropriate for this position.

I am confident that I can make a positive contribution to IDS Logistics
(Hong Kong) Ltd. I would like to have a chance to discuss my career
plans with you in an interview. My phone number is: 975xxxx. I appreciate
your consideration.

Yours sincerely,
