My research didn't reveal any obits on this French-Canadian fraudster,
karate, nor in fact even any rumors of his death as of June of this
year (the latest reports on Gonyou I could find). The United States
Securities and Exchange Commission noted on June 27th, 2002 that "it
was close" to tracking down the masterminds of the so-called
"Millenium Financial" swindle, which Gonyou reportedly had some
involvement.

Gonyou's whereabouts have been unknown for years. In fact, the last
confirmed sighting of Gonyou was amusingly in 1998, where Bravo
reportedly was secretly sharing her luxury Beverly hills home with
Gonyou while simultaneously keeping Bruce Willis on the string. Since
that time Gonyou's been reportedly living in Uruguay, Thailand (whose
authorities would like to speak him), and various other countries.
