The Workbench furniture stores chain went bankrupt in 2003.
"Workbench, which has stores in West Hartford, Danbury, Westport,
Milford and Greenwich, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on June 23 in
New Jersey. On September 22, the court granted the company, which has
29 stores in seven states, permission for a liquidation sale."
"Attorney General Richard Blumenthal today announced that the bankrupt
Workbench furniture store chain has agreed to procedures under which
customers can attempt to purchase the furniture they ordered or seek
refunds if the items are unavailable. The store consented to the
procedures after talks with the Attorney General's Office."
