You must have seen job search agents on major websites like Dice, Monster They store your preferences like: 1. Specific Industry 2. Job region 3. Job function 4. Search keywords 5. Several other preferences... The above preferences are filled in a form( Consists of Drop downs and text fields ) and the search agent returns the results. My school has a internal job bank which requires these kinds of inputs. It is a secure site and requires login, hence I cannot share the 'view source' results. The URL ends in .aspx. The problem is that there is no way to store/save a search and it is very cumbersome to make all the selections and enter all the search criteria every time. I want to have a tool which will automatically fill in the search criteria and submit it. And I would like to save different versions of the search criteria. It should be easy to change the search criteria. Is there a freeware tool which will save my criteria and conduct my serch with a single click? I do own MS Frontpage professional 2003 also. Let me know how I can accomplish this task. My browser is IE 6.0. Thanks. |

hi man, you can use RoboForm : http://www.roboform.com/ this is the most advanced tool for automated form filling. It's free and syware-free. Hope this fill your needs ;) PS : Forget FrontPage, it's not a good choice, look at Dreamweaver instead |

As the website is in asp .net (aspx) and as you can't access the source files, you need to use a clientside software, there are many such as roboform, expertfill, Web form filler IEFillForm,... If you're good at programming or if you know the webmaster, you should use "cookies" to store information. You may also try to enable cookies on your computer and activate auto-fill in Internet Explorer (tools=>Internet options=>content=>"auto-fill" or something like it, I don't own the english version). Kind Regards. |
