I'm about to develop downloadable software. I would like to write it
in C# language rather then C++/MFC but I am worried that people don't
have the .Net Framework and the download file will be very large
(~25megs).
My question is: how many people already have the framework installed
on their PC? What is the forecast for that number in the future?
Is it supplied by default with winXP? Office? Etc.

Fast and full answers will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Well, i dont know exactly how much users of Net Framework all around
the world. But i can say that .Net Framework required for many
programs/games. If you active user of computers and internet you
suppose to hawe .Net Framework installed. 25 megs is not too much for
downloadable content because nowadays there are a lot of opportunities
to get fast internet connection: ADSL,DSL, cable, etc... Framework is
not supplied with winXP, office, etc. I think that you should not
worry about developing software, because if it will be good people
first buy it and then download Net Framework. sorry for my english.
