Dear Hitcho,

Let's start with Wikipedia:
November 14th
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/November_14>
Each day entry includes also holidays - "wacky" and normal

Today is:
Roman festivals - Equorum Probatio
India - Birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru: Children's day
World Diabetes Day

In order to find any other days and their holidays, use the Wikipedia
search engine, and search for that day, or use this category:
Historical Anniversaries
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historical_anniversaries>

Scope Systems also have some events for you:
SCOPE SYSTEMS - Today in History
<http://www.scopesys.com/today/>

If you scroll down to get holidays, you'd get today:
Cayman Islands : Remembrance Day
English commonwealth : Prince Charles' Birthday (1948)
Jordan : King's Birthday (1935)
West Germany : Repentance Day - - - - - ( Wednesday )
England : Lord Mayor's Day - - - - - ( Saturday )

However, November 14th, is Operation Room Nurse Day. Most of thesde
"wacky" holidays, including this one, are not international, but an
American (US) invention.

Such information, about holidays, including "Wacky" ones in the US
only (it doesn't include the Jordanian/English holidays mentioned
before; nor does it mention the Indian or ancient Roman holidays
mentioned on Wikipedia), could be found here:

Landys For Gifts - Calendar
<http://www.landysforgifts.com/page/page/1533197.htm>

Another version, could be found here, with the Operation Room Nurse
day, but also with India's Children's Day:
Holidays & Days of Note
<http://community-2.webtv.net/magentashadow/Holidays/>

A third good source:
Butler Webs - Holidays
<http://www.butlerwebs.com/holidays/>

And a very good list exists at :
PreSchool Education Calendar
<http://www.preschooleducation.com/calnov04.shtml>

It includes, for today:
14- National Educational Support Personnel Day
14- National Young Reader's Day
14- Blood Transfusion Birthday 1666
14- Operation Room Nurse Day
14- India Children's Day
14- Loosen Up, Lighten Up Day
14- Moby Dick's Birthday 1851
14- Prince Charles' Birthday 1948
14- Spicey Guacamole Day
14- Streetcar Birthday 1832
14- National American Teddy Bear Day

I hope this answers your question. Please contact me if you need any
clarification on this answer before you rate it. My search terms
(except for previous knowledge):
["Children's day" "Operation Room Nurse Day"] (I did this one, because
I wanted to find a site that includes both - a "serious" holiday from
India and a not-so-serious one from the US)
[on this date],
[on this day]
[november 14 holidays "world diabetes"]
