I'm looking for a product that will repeat remote IR commands. My TV and VCR IR receivers are blocked and I need something to retransmit my remote inputs. |

What you could likely use...and you won't need line of sight is an IR to RF convertor such as this one at amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000246UG2/102-6202784-8738500?v=glance&n=172282&n=507846&s=electronics&v=glance These are made by Gemini which is an arm of Philips. Hope this helps. |

I'm not sure what you are looking for. From your question it sounds like you do not have line of sight access for your IR signal....the only way you are going to get line of sight is to convert it to rf or bluetooth or wifi or something. Can you clarify your question? |

The first part is true, but there has to be a way to just repeat the IR signal... fiber optics maybe? There has to be a cheap way to do it. |

Many, many places sell IR Repeaters. For instance I have my equipment on the other side of the wall from my Home theater screen. I use an IR converter/RF transmitter to convert IR to RF and on the other side of the wall I use a receiver module to convert RF back to IR. There are literally hundreds of brands and models to choose from. I needed mine fast so I picked one up fairly fast at Radio Shack. This is the one I have: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2049642&cp=&kw=15-1950&kwCatId=2032057&parentPage=search |
