I don't know about proportion, but I imagine a fair number are still working in the tradition of analytic philosphy/logical positivism (Wikipedia is quite useful). |

I thought logical positivism (linguistic analysis) was pretty dead. Isn't it? (I still like A.J. Ayer, but I mix his ideas liberally with others that he would never have countenanced. That's the advantage of being a consumer rather than a purveyor of philosophical systems.) Archae0pteryx |

I think so too, but I just wanted to know if there was any data that could corroborate that answer. Anyway, I doubt so since no one other than philosophers (and sometimes not even) seems to care about philosopher's lives and positions. |
