Hello,

I'm intending to put an online version of the holy bible on my website
and would like to know what options there are out there. I want a list
of as many solutions you can find. There should be several companies
offering online version of the bible to enable people to put it on
their website. I want the new international version of the bible.

Thanks,
Jake

I don't know if the new international bible is what you call the
newest version, but to clarify, I want the newest version of the
bible.

Check out the " New World" translation, issued by www.watchtower.org ,
It is one of the very few that has replaced Almighty God's personal
name, Jehovah, in the 7000 places in the Bible, from which it was
removed and God's TITLE, [ LORD] put in its place.

Well, I don't know what the translations are called, but I want the
newest translation, and I need an online version that I can put up on
my website. In other words, not a book.

I understand this is not what you are looking for since you want to
have it on your website. But, wouldn't it make a whole lot more sense
to simply put a link on your site to something like
http://www.bible.com/ where they have the bible in a million formats,
searching capabilities ect.?

There are quite a few translations of the Bible into English, but only
a relative handful of the translations have come into widespread use
and respect. A few that occur to me are:

King James Version: An old, but venerable translation

Some newer ones are:

New King James Version
New International Version
New American Standard

But if you want to add a link to a site that has a lot of translations
with the ability to do searches, you might want to link to the Bible
Gateway at the following link:

http://www.biblegateway.com/

Hope this helps.

An excellent answer can be found HERE:

http://www.studylight.org/info/link/

at Studylight.org. They allow you to set up search interfaces on your
site in about ALL available translations, while keeping the actual
mechanics on their site. You get all of the benifits with none of the
cost !!

Hi Jakobh,
Until I came to internet, I was not aware of the number of Bible
translations and the varying opinions about them. If you want to add
a link to the Bible to your website, you might want to look into the
discussion first. Here are a couple of sites on the subject:
