I used the term "all" because I had in my previous question that was
answered for the same price.

The religious affiliations were given to help in the research
criteria, but the bookstores do not need to claim a certain
affiliation. I am not interested in all stores that sell Christian
books/materials but only am interested in the actual Christian Book
Stores.

I would be interested in a list containing Christian Bookstores in
states found in the Eastern time zone. I was not planning on spending
the maximum price so please let me know if this request is still a max
price task.

Is there a way to know if a prefabricated list is available? If so,
the price would be increased for nothing correct? I understand $10 is
not sufficient to build a list from scratch. If a solid list can be
compiled I am willing to pay. However, in relation to other questions
asked and prices given, I don't believe this is a large dollar amount
task. Please give suggestions.

A quick search revealed 930 Christian bookstores around the nation
that have, as a part of their name "Christian Bookstore". There are,
undoutedly, at least that many more (if not many times more) that do
not have "Christian Bookstore" as part of their name. So, at the very
least you're looking at 2000 but I still believe that to be a quite
modest expectation.

I can tell you how to pull up the 930 I saw (with address, zip code,
phone number, etc) but for $10 you'll have to compile your own list
from the source. It isn't *ALL* of them but it's a bunch.

Does that sound good as an answer?

I have since found a second source that may have slightly more than
930 (it includes stores nationwide and also includes stores do not
that have the phrase "Christian Bookstore" in their titles). I can
give you WEB LINKS ONLY to both sources for $10 or I can compile a
list for you for $75 with the understanding that this list may not
represent every single Christian Bookstore in the US but it's
certainly more than you'd ever want to visit in a lifetime.

Here is what I've managed to acquire:

I can provide you with a database of 1,656 Christian bookstores
located in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, complete with
name, address, zip code, and telephone number. This source also has
the web links to each store that also has an online presence and in
some cases and email address where applicable. I could compile it in
list form but I'm afraid it would be too painstaking for both of us.
For $10 I will release the source of the database to you. After
looking over the database it is apparent that compiling a list from
them will be as simple as cutting and pasteing the information to a
word document so I could not, in good conscience, charge you $75 for
it.

If you want to accept this database as your $10 answer I'd be
delighted to give it to you for that price.

Sorry you weren't pleased (low rating) but it was, after all, about $10 worth.

Researchers tend to shy away from questions asking for *ALL* of a
particular set because there's no accurate way to confirm that "all"
have been found. In addition, your price you are offering does not
make such a time consuming effort attratice to most researchers. The
request you are making is enormous and $10 simply won't compensate for
the research time.

For best results consider a price more in line with the desired
results. Perhaps you might even break your question down into specific
states and post multiple questions. Keep in mind that not all
Christian Bookstores declare a specific affiliation and not all places
that sell Christian books are Christian Bookstores. My guess is that a
maximum price of $200 will likley get you a huge, yet partial, list
but an undisputably "complete" list of "all Christian Bookstores in
the US" is probably not a reasonable expectation at any price.

If a prefabricated list can be found online, or if a Researcher has
already compiled a similar list for another customer, you may be able
to get an answer for ten dollars. However, if a list must be assembled
from scratch, many hours of work are likely to be involved. Few (if
any) Researchers are likely to want to compile a massive list from
multiple sources in order to earn $7.50 (the Researcher's share of
your $10.00 fee).
