- camera/video capture applications,
- sharing apps (P2P and over the internet/blogging), and 
- media organizing/player apps

After hours of extensive research, I was able to locate 18 embedded
multimedia software companies for mobile handsets. However, these
companies have not been categorized in the segments requested, as this
would entail additional hours of reading and researching the
individual sites.
