I've been asked to evaluate a fiscal variable; I have opted for unemployment.

I need an economic evaluation of the variable involved. I need
information (I need the sources and graphical data) from two differing
sources on the trend of unemployment from 2000-present and the
forecasts annually up until 2010.

I also need the basic assumptions that went into both forecasts and
the general causes of the difference between the two forecasts.

I also need several trends in unemployment in the past. Basically an
explanation for why unemployment was high in this period and why it
was low in another.

Additionally, I need to name several issues in the media that might
cause differences from what is being forecast and whether the issues
are global or national or both in scope.

Thanks in advance.
