Yes this is how we communicate with customers and how you communicate
with researchers.  Through Google Answers.  :)

According to Google Answers FAQS (frequently asked questions)

protect researchers' privacy we don't post our email address either.

FYI - when a customer posts a clarification, Google Answers will send
the researcher an email in order to inform them of activity on a
question.
