Question ID: 593753
"A Canadian medical researcher is looking for a manufacturer (or other
source) who can supply small quantities of microspheres. These can be
either metal,
glass, or ceramic, from 300 to 900 microns in diameter, with some
ferrous component so that they react to a magnetic field. They should
also be biocompatible, that is, coated with gold or titanium or some
other material commonly used for medical purposes within the body."

Hi,

I have a few resources for you which can supply what you are asking.
The only contention seems to be the size. 300 to 900 microns is huge
in microsphere arena, so I wanted to ask you to check and see that
this is what they are looking for, and not looking for 300 to 900
nanometers instead. I do have resources which can make these, but just
about everyone I talked to was quite curious about the size.

Hello Webadept:

My apologies; this is the first time that I have used GoogleA and I
had assumed that any request for clarification would have been
automailed to me by the system. I just logged in to my account at this
moment.

Yes, the size is correct. I will contact Nonie at invitrogen to see
what he/she has to say.
