What ever the meaning of these contents may be: It is surprising that "martyrs" is written in English while all the saints are mentioned by their Latin names. The Latin "martyres" would be more in place. As for the fragmented "Agnus" in the center, I'd say that it originally read "Agnus Dei", Lamb of God. Scriptor |
