How do i go about selling/marketing an idea regarding a new baby car
seat,without fear of being stolen.I know that there are firms out
there that tell you they do all the work, but they want reaserch fees
of $55 per hour

Well first off, if you've actually got an original idea then you
should get it patented.  There is a lot of information out there about
how to go about applying for a patent.  Here is one link to some
information:

If you don't want to take on the task of applying for a patent
yourself then maybe you should talk to a patent lawyer.  I would not
think about marketing a truly original idea until you have established
for sure that the idea doesn't already exist and you have legally
protected it.
