I'm interested in the global flat panel display market. Both LCD's &
PDP's. The displays are manufactured with several layers of treated &
reflective films.
(What I know is listed below the questions)
The answers I'm looking for are:
a) Who produces the films and where (countries) are they manufactured?
b) Who are the converters of that film in the countries shown?
(Converters typically perform a secondary surface treatment prior to
the films consumption in the manufacturer of a display.) This question
is my least important.
c) What is the consumption of these films in the FPD market. I prefer
an answer expressed in Sq. meters but I'll take what you can find.(
This will be the hardest question I think)
d) How many FPD's (LCD & PDP) were sold in 2004 and what is the growth
rate of the market? ( I think 25%)
d) What is the FPD market's growth rate in units.

I know most FPD's are produced in S. Korea, Japan, Chian & Taiwan. I
also think I know a typical display can have 4 - 6 layers of film in
it.

If I knew the global FPD market would consume XXXX billion sq. meters
of film in 200X & who produced & converted it, I'd be OK.
