It's a good answer, although if there were some way to extract that
information for each of the 100+ regions of the second URL and combine
it into one source, that would be even cooler.  Thanks.

information as an answer, I am posting this in an effort to officially
close your question. As for your hope that the information might
somehow be extracted from the source as a bonus answer, the attempt to
do so proved far too difficult and time consuming. The source does,
however offer a national average based on all other data provided and
combines that into a single graph which essentially answers your
question about ?the average salary of anesthesiologists? quite well.
