I'd like a list of songs and hits (electronic or rock) which have been
released and haven't actually had a frontman or person leading the
song.  Gorillaz is an example of this where a cartoon took the place
of someone actually singing.  Songs made electronically often have a
great tune but no-one to lead the song.  Some other examples are
william orbit, paul okenfold.

Are you asking for instrumental songs? One I can think of is Squib
Cakes by Tower of Power, or perhaps 1984 by Van Halen. I hope this
