Some critics would say the correct question would be how many security
problems have they had AND how many of them have they admitted. Hope
you find an answer.

An infinite amount. It is not possible to know for sure that you have
checked for all possible holes in any program.

The problem is not in the number of security problems, the problem is
in philosophy of problem prevention. It would do no harm if Micro$oft
did not wait up to 6 month to repair an obvious hole, or had approach
programming from an entirely different perspective. Open Source and
Linux have holes too, but we do not critisize them because they at
least try to eliminate the problem.
