Im currently writing a paper on naum gabo and his relation to
constructivism and furthermore, how they followed Jurgen Habermas's
theory of modernity... I am wondering if you would know of any other
writers or writing artists whose philosophies or theories agree with
habermas's 'Modernity - An incomplete project'. Im trying not to let
you write the paper for me!!! The actual title is 'how did Gabo and
his contemporaries embrace modernity in the form of constructivism?'.
Basically, i am looking for Contemporaries of habermas whos thinking
align.

Not sure that you will find this comment helpful, but I'm rather
puzzled how you can involve Habermas directly into a discussion of
constructivism and Gabo. Constructivism as an art movement flourished
in the immediate post-Russian Revolutionary period, and was more or
less over by the end of the 1920s (though Gabo certainly continued
constructivist-type works for many years after). But Habermas wasn't
born until 1929, and didn't publish "Modernity - an Incomplete
Project" until 1980, after Gabo had died. Moreover, as far as I can
see, Habermas though certainly an advocate of rationality - as were
the constructivists - doesn't have much to say about art. (Are you
sure you're not getting confused between two uses of the word
"constructivism" - in art and in phlisophy/learning?)

Hi, i'm writing the essay at the moment, i would be happy to send you
a copy. You are right that constructivism flourished in that period
but it was certainly not over by the 1920s... Most importantly was
Gabo's publication with ben nicholson and Leslie Martin that was
'Circle'... This involved many artists, writers and architects
involved in the constructivism/post-constructivism and suprematism
areas (amongst others)... With respect to habermas, i am using the
benefit of hindsight to reflect on the similarites in the social
theory held between constructivism and Habermas' modernity... hope
thats a bit clearer... Oh and yes, this is an essay based form an
artists point of view so i am referencing the art definition... are
they not quite similar though in essence...?

And Habermas did split society into three division science, morality and art...
