Question ID: 594418
Where can I find a Headphone/Speaker switch like the Plantronics model
expcept for 5.1 Speakers AND 5.1 Headphones? It would be used to avoid
having to go behind my copmputer and put in all three plugs each time
I want to switch outputs.

No takers? I would be willing to do some sort of splitter system as
long as it won't degrade my sound quality. I would even accept "it
cannot be done," so I can at least stop looking for it and whatnot

Hello Boyders,
I think this is possible if you have a 5.1 sound card/chipset in your
computer and a speaker that uses only one output jack for a 5.1 system
(I'm sure there are such speaker systems). Perhaps you could put in a
headphone splitter, and use one end for the speaker, and one end for
the headphone. I haven't tried it myself, but if you have the above
setup, you could give it a try.

I also have this problem,here's a better breakdown of what's needed:my
headphones have 3 phone plugs on them,my pc has 3 phone plug jacks, but
my speakers only plug into 1 of these jacks, what's needed is a switch
with 3 plugs on one end,and 1 plug on the other
