I was reading in a magazine, don't remember which one, two to three
weeks back about a new non profit business where celebrities will call
anyone and wish them a happy birthday or Merry Christmas for $29.95.
I believe it was a one paragraph "blurb" in Time or Newsweek or mabey
even people magazine near the front of the magazine that was telling
about this new service. Could you find out how I can contact these
people. I thought I'd send a Christmas greeting from a celebrity to
my daughters for Christmas. R.

Dear 211563-ga,

I couldn?t find the article you referred to so I was unable to check
the source, but I have found such a company which started in 2003,
however, I do not think it is a ?non-profit business?. They provide
calls from ?celebrities?. It costs $29.95 for a customized live call
and $19.95 for standard live call. Does ?Hollywood is calling? ring a
bell? If so, I can post the details.

Dear Randy,

The company I found is ?Hollywood Is Calling?

To check if it was genuine I searched and found the following which may assist you.

The alternative is that you may have read of 'Celebrity Messages'
which has just been launched in the UK. It is mainly UK D-list
celebrities sending messages via your mobile.

Dear Randy,
I'm based in the UK so not all of the names are familier to me.
However, like the UK site I referred you to, I did get the impression
they were on the 'D-list' of celebrities.
Sorry to hear you were disappointed.
