Hello,

Total Football II, the official player record of the NFL, has no entry
for a Robert Wasem. Neither does www.football-reference.com.

So your answer is: never. Unless he used a different name. Also, he
might have been on a Bears roster but never played. I doubt it,
though, since Google searches for "Robert Wasem" and "Bob Wasem" did
not yield any football players.

Thanks for using Google Answers.

Perhaps Wasem is a misspelling?

At

http://www.chicagobears.com/history/index.cfm?cont_id=70195&nav_key=trad&subnav_key=th&show_rail=no

there's a list of "1,152 players who have been on the Chicago Bears’
active roster for at least one NFL game from 1920 through 2000" and I
don't see anything remotely like that name. It's not a very helpful
question, anyway.

Indeed, it seems that the closest spelling (if it can be considered
close) in the Bears database is Robert Moser, who played for the Bears
from 1951-53. ("Moser" strikes me as somewhat like "Wasem" backwards,
but I suppose that's a stretch.)
