What PC based player represents the best overall value for a PC user who wants to be able to store, manage, and transfer music CDs onto their PC and burn mixes. The player must support MP3 VBR, not hijack extensions, including .WAV without permission, and be reasonably fast. It should not incur periodic or required upgrade costs, co-exist with both MS Media plaer and Itunes. It must be able to burn MP3 disks playable in current Mercedes Benz and Aiwa car stereos -- if you can't determine that its fine. The PC storage formats and playlists should be transferable to other types of PC players so that there is no player vendor lockin. Explain or annotate why the player is best and at least its next best and why. Initial costs are not critical. |
