Help,

At command prompt I enter dir>lpt1 and get no response from my printer.
I use XP Pro and a local HP LaserJet 4 Plus printer and I use to get a
directory printed out. I don't know what has happened. Can you help
me?

Do you get any error messages?

Using XP Pro operating system and a HP LASERJET 4 PLUS and accessing
the Command Prompt, you should be able to enter DIR>LPT1 at the
COMMAND PROMPT and print a directory of a file to the HP Laserjet 4
Plus printer. I have been able to do this until recently but
something has happened that prevents me from accomplishing this task.
The printer does not respond at all. All proper connections have been
made from the computer to the printer. I can do other print jobs
without a problem. I am not printing to a network printer.
