Here are the steps: a> create two local folders named 'yahoo' and 'gmail b> setup your gmail and yahoo accounts from Tools-->Accounts c> Now go to Tools-->Message Rules-->Mail d> 1. Select "Where the To line contains people" in the condition for the rule 2. Select "Move it to the specified folder" in the actions for the rule 3. In the Rules Description : click on "contains people" and add your yahoo email address... then click on "specified" and choose folder yahoo 4. Give a name to the rule eg. Yahoo email e> Repeat step D for the gmail account as well You may modify/add these rules and folders to customize according to your requirement. Hope this helps!! |

a better solution..would be.. 1. create two identities..called yahoo and gmail.. click on file->manage identities which will pop up a window to configure identities.. 2. create an identity called yahoo set-up the new mail account for yahoo 3. create an identity called gmail set-up the new mail account fro gmail. 4. configure whichever mail u want as the default. 5. you can also use password protection for each identity. when u click on outlook express, it will log in into the default identity(ex yahoo), and if u want to switch over to the other (ex gmail), use file->switch idenity option. hope this works out for u.. |
