Logically, you would think the word meant the mental process of map making. According to http://www.lexfiles.com/basic-grk-m-z.html the prefix 'psycho-' comes from a greek word/is a greek word meaning "the mind or the mental processes" From http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/cartography the word cartography also comes from Greek and means "the study and practice of making maps or globes" So from these 2 sources, I tihnk it might mean 'making a map in your head'. Hope this help, edejl-ga |

The process of mapping the dreamscape is known as psychocartography. It involves the recording of landscape in dreams over a long period, then connecting the smaller maps into a larger one. Remarkably, people who have done this develop a very consistent map of their dreamscape, which evolves just as the macrocosm does. find more on this belowed link http://forum.rstheory.com/viewtopic.php?t=41&sid=5ba7f9a248a0e992fe23325939a8c4c6 |
