In shopping for an Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgeon, I find that one has

What does FACS signify? Does it denote additional education or is it an
honorary thing?

Hello Hansotto,

FACS

been in practice for at least two years. The member must demonstrate

Additionally, physicians who are not surgeons can have the letters
FACP added to their professional titles. Similar to the FACS
abbreviation, this stands for Fellow, American College of Physicians -
just in case you were wondering.
