What is the effect of tile (manufacturing, installation, maintenance)
on the environment (within the installed environment as well as the global
environment). What are the drains on resources required to produce
it, the effect on air quality, any issues with by-products? Include
info on different types (ceramic, porcelain, stone, clay) and
sealants, adhesives and finishes.

I see this as one question, but the answer covers multiple areas. The
main question is still 'what effect does tile have on the
environment?'. I have upped the price in lieu of breaking it out into
multiple questions. I hope that helps.

There is no answer at this time.

There is a lot of really irritating loud noise involved in sawing
tiles for fitting into installations. Such noise is a considerable
health hazard to all within hearing range.

Idgirl,
The comments above have already suggested factors that are pertinent
but were not immediately evident from your question, which is really
many questions.

Since this is apparently your first time here, you might read the FAQs
on forming questions and pricing.
Because Researchers (blue names) can only post one answer to a
question, it is very difficult to satisfactorily include answers to
multiple questions. If you can break your question down and post
individuals questions, you will have a much better chance of getting
answers to at least some of them - no promises, though.

Just trying to be helpful, Myoarin
