I would like information on colours used by manufacturers of hair
colouring products, to support (or otherwise) the assertion that a
large number of them are named after trees.

A list of the colours offered by a few of the major manufacturers should do it.

It certainly doesn't have to be exhaustive or vast. In fact good
lists of tree and non-tree names separately would be useful. Text
file(s) would be fine.

Typical 'tree' colours might be mahogany, chestnut, pecan, walnut ...
Exotic, pretentious or silly names would be welcome.

Some manufacturers are Clairol, L'Oreal, Revlon, Wella ...

We won't argue about whether the tree or the nut/fruit/... provides the colour.

A quick response today would be better than a lengthy one tomorrow.
This is not a research project, just an attempt to provide material
for a themed art exercise.

If you happen to know sources of information on colour names in
general ... by all means include some.

Thanks,

Thanks canadianhelper-ga.

Other comments are welcome, but I think the time for a paid answer has
now passed as the project is under way.
