I run a website www.lees-summit.com. This website was recently moved
from one webserver to a different webserver on a different IP address.
I do not know for certain that it was available to aol dialup users
before the switch, but I think yes. Since then AOL users can access
the website if they are using IE with their dialup account, but can
not if they are using the AOL browser. AOL does not want to help me
since I am not an AOL customer. Any Ideas on what might be the
problem?

Greetings,

The AOL browser is a substandard, stripped down version of Internet
explorer. It was designed to be small enough to fit in their
downloadable file versions instead of requiring a seperate download.
As a result, this browser lacks a lot of functionality that Firefox,
safari and IE have. So it is possible that your website has some type
of functionality that the embed browser doesn't support, so it can't
display the page properly. There are multiple possibilities, but they
almost all go back to errors on the AOL browser.

Quite frankly, even if you were an AOL customer, AOL would be unlikely
to help you with this problem. They do not block website access from
their customers intentionally, so the default answer would be that you
are having problems with your computer or AOL version and should
consider reinstalling, defragmenting, clearing your cache or other
such (often pointless under the circumstances) types of suggestions.

AOLs download is fine as transfer times go, but if you are trying to
view websites you really need to use an external browser -- Firefox
being my personal preference. AOL's browser has been behind the
industry standard since their 2.0 version, and is unlikely to catch up
anytime soon.

This is not really an exact answer, but I recommend testing each
portion of your website. Upload an html file with text and very simple
html tags, and add in portions of the website to be tested in the good
ol' AOL browser until you find the part(s) it cannot handle.
