My name is David and I work for a company called LearnOutLoud.com. We're currently amassing the internet's largest directory of audio and video learning titles. To this point we've built our database with the help of various publishers and retailers providing us with datafeeds as well as a lot manual data entry. Now we're looking for services that can provide us with a complete resource of content for audio books including the following details: Title Subtitle Author Narrator Format (Audio Cassette, Audio CD) Number of Format (# of CDs, # of Tapes) Unabridged or Abridged Edition Publisher Running Time Short Description Long Description Category Release Date ISBN for each format Currently we're working with the wholesaler Ingram and their content is a little bit costly with a $2000 setup fee and $200/month to subscribe. We're also looking into leasing content from the other major book wholesaler Baker & Taylor. But I'm wondering if there's other resources for attaining a database of information about books which we could put into Excel or Access and then upload onto our site. Do you know of any? |
