When i was little, say more than 12 years ago..i got a book from the
library. it was about a robot and a kid. i think the basic plot of the
book was the parents of the kid got him a robot. the robot and the kid
bonded, etc. i remember reading it and really enjoying it. but i had
to return the book before i could finish it...and never got a chance
to reborrow it.

some things i think i remember,

-the robot bought the kid candy or flowers?
-the cover might have had a kid on a swing?
-it was softback maybe a 100 something pages
-i think the book was alittle old when i borrowed it

any help would be great. thanks

Could it have been "My Robot Buddy"?

"On Jack Jameson?s 10th birthday, his family gives him a robot that
can do everything Jack can do?and more.?"

The book is around 90 pages and has been printed with various covers since 1975.

What do you think?

i thought for sure you found it...but no, thats not it.
that book seems alittle childish in a way. granted i was about 11 (or
younger) when i read it.
i remember this book being alittle better....

i think the robot was on the cover and he was metal, shiny silver.

eh. :/

Okay, how about C.L.U.T.Z.?

"Eleven-year-old Rodney makes a new friend when a broken-down robot
with an almost human personality comes to work for his family."

"Clutz is a good friend and very generous to Rodney"

ah, im sorry, again, this book seems very childish.

this book was more of an older kids book. i may have been in 5th,4th
grade...but i read books that werent in my level.

the print was small..i remember that because i was trying to read it
in my dads car and i got sick so i had to stop.
